True Guru Support
Introduction: This chapter describes how the grace of a True Guru protects a seeker in unseen ways. Through a real incident from the author’s life, we learn how the Guru guides, shields, and transforms.
A Divine Protection
Narendra says that when the Guru’s grace appears, life becomes brighter. The Guru silently stands behind the seeker like an invisible shield— protecting during difficulties and guiding during important choices.
Audit Trip Incident
As part of his work as a Chartered Accountant, the author went for a bank audit in Buldhana.
During the audit, the bank manager suddenly received a tense phone call. After speaking, he asked:
“Are you Narendra Chaudhary, the Chartered Accountant from Akola?”
The author was surprised because he had already introduced himself.
The manager then handed him the phone. The person on the call said:
“I bow to you. Are you a disciple of Venkatesh Nath Maharaj?”
The author replied that he was not a formal disciple but confirmed his name.
The caller continued:
“Good. I have full information about you—where you are staying, who you met. Please come to my house today at 6 PM. My person will find you.”
Anxiety increased, but the author decided to return to his room early. Yet the man was already waiting outside, saying:
“Our Jail Superintendent calls you his spiritual brother. He has ordered me to bring you.”
Unexpected Royal Welcome
The author went to the Jail Superintendent’s government quarters. To his shock, there were:
* Two rows of policemen standing like a guard of honour * Elders greeting him with great respect * Rituals such as washing his feet, chanting, and giving an honoured seat
They believed he had spent 20+ years with Venkatesh Nath Maharaj and therefore must be spiritually advanced.
The Test
They asked him to open a spiritual book, read two lines, and give a deep explanation. The author had no formal study and felt helpless.
He silently prayed to his Guru.
Finally he spoke:
“You are all knowledgeable. But what you have said about spirituality is not correct. Listen calmly; decide tomorrow morning.”
They strongly disagreed but allowed him to speak.
Transformation at Dawn
Next morning, all of them realised:
“What Narendraji said is the truth.”
One of them shared:
“At 4 AM a divine presence woke me and said, ‘His words are true.’”
Their attitude changed completely—they searched for him with respect and gratitude.
