Introduction: This chapter explains the extraordinary authority of a True Spiritual Guru. Unlike gods who follow cosmic laws, a Sadguru can bend or break natural laws for the upliftment of a seeker. A powerful real-life incident demonstrates this truth.
Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Shiva) each have specific roles:
* Brahma – creation * Vishnu – preservation * Mahesh – dissolution
But when the essence of all three united, Lord Dattatreya appeared—the spiritual Guru of the entire universe.
*Religious gurus* follow social and scriptural rules. But a spiritual Sadguru is not bound by any rule—neither natural nor cosmic.
They possess what we may call:
“Discretionary Power” – the freedom to bypass any universal law without explanation.
No god is given this authority. Only a Sadguru holds this exceptional power.
Humans think only people have importance, but the Guru’s authority extends to:
* nature * rivers * mountains * plants * natural forces * even events like earthquakes and heavy rains
All communicate with the Sadguru in subtle ways.
During a large gathering at Devgaon, devotees prepared for the annual celebration. The plan was to make boondi laddus, which required pure ghee (clarified butter).
The previous evening, everything was bought from the Aurangabad market— everything except ghee, which was forgotten.
Shops were already closed; getting ghee at night was impossible. They told Maharaj about the crisis, expecting anger.
Instead Maharaj calmly asked:
“How many tins of ghee are arriving tomorrow?”
“Two tins,” they replied.
Maharaj said:
“Then take two tins of water from the well and pour them into the cooking pot. Tomorrow, when the ghee arrives, pour it into the well.”
Everyone was confused, but obeyed.
They placed a large pot on the fire. They poured the two tins of water into it.
The water began to boil… and then turned into pure ghee.
Boondi was fried; laddus were made; hundreds of devotees ate them the next morning.
Even more shocking:
*The next day, when actual ghee tins were poured into the well, the well’s water remained normal—no oil traces, no ghee floating.*
This incident shows:
* Water became ghee instantly. * Later, ghee became water instantly. * The rules of nature changed in a moment at the Guru’s wish.
What Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh cannot do, a Sadguru, being the guru of all gods, can do effortlessly.
A True Guru can:
* bend nature * rewrite cosmic laws * manifest the impossible
because their authority comes directly from the spiritual source of creation.
“What is impossible for gods is effortless for the Sadguru.”
