On 14th January 2016, at Nath Shakti Peeth, devotees performed Surya Upasana (Sun Worship) along with the chanting of the Saur Sukta. On 15th January 2016, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, the Makar Sankranti Havan was conducted. In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Mahaprasad was served, followed by communal bhajans from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The entire event was graced by the holy presence of Sadguru Shri Narendra Nath Maharaj, and devotees were encouraged to participate and benefit from the spiritual proceedings.

This tradition of Surya Upasana has been continuously followed since the times of Swami Machhindranath.
